Why you should join this program?

As we know Parkinson’s present with wide range of motor and non-motor symptoms impacting your quality of life. However, medications and exercises play a key role in helping you beat and slow down the disease progression.

Typically, individuals receive recommendations to join the community Parkinson exercise program and continue with their PD medications. The focus is using exercise as medicine along with medications to make a stronger effect on your health. However, there is not much importance given to understanding, assessing, and implementing the right prescription for Parkinson Specific Exercise Program. The dosage needs to be well prescribed and progressed with time to ensure the exercise is helping you manage PD, also learning about power of neuroplasticity and implementing it in your daily routine.

Research has proven Early PD Rehab has been a game changer for individuals in slowing down their progression. Keeping this in mind, translating the recent evidence on Early PD rehab along with clinical practice recommendations a multimodal Early Rehab PD program is designed.

Goals

The goal of this program is help you challenge your current level of function, bridge the gap between unmet needs of rehabilitation (as typical PT is prescribed late in the PD care journey) and using the potential of exercise to neuroprotect, retrain to mind-body to maintain and slow down disease progression.

It needs a village, strong commitment to make this change possible, together as a PD community we can do it. Remember, Secondary prevention model is powerful to address the PD symptoms.

The amount of reimbursement is completely dependent on your insurance plan. If you call your insurance company to inquire, you should ask about reimbursement for “out-of-network Physical Therapy” expenses. You may also use several providers who can help you in submitting these superbills such as: www.reimbursify.com www.thesuperbill.com *Changes in many health insurance plans and deductibles have made it Cheaper to Not use your insurance for some services (like PT) if you have high PT co-pays or a high deductible.

This request to not involve Medicare in payment must be made up front by the patient and be made of the patient’s own free will.
