Join our free group online program for Washington residents living with Parkinson’s—integrating education, exercise, balance training, and self‑management in a supportive group setting.

This program is supported by a community grant from the Parkinson's Foundation. The program is available free of cost to Washington residents.

Why this program?

Living with Parkinson’s involves more than medication. Research shows combining movement, education, and social support leads to better outcomes and quality of life. Yet many communities lack access to programs designed specifically for Parkinson’s symptoms—like freezing of gait, autonomic challenges, and fall prevention.
Beyond Medication fills these gaps for Washington’s Parkinson’s community by providing expert-led, evidence-based care in a virtual, group-driven environment.

Goals

Our program aims to support you to:

  • Build the skills and knowledge needed to manage Parkinson’s symptoms beyond medication.

  • Take active responsibility for your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

  • Improve functional independence and safely perform daily activities with confidence.

  • Establish lasting wellness habits through movement, self-management, and community support.

Outcomes

  • Confidently manage Parkinson’s symptoms using practical tools for mobility, balance, fatigue, and self-care.

  • Improve physical function and independence through guided exercise, fall prevention strategies, and daily movement routines.

  • Enhance emotional and social well-being by building supportive connections and reducing feelings of isolation.

  • Sustain long-term wellness habits with continued access to educational resources, symptom tracking tools, and monthly support sessions.
